Chris Kim
Chris Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, but he immigrated to the US when he was 12 years old. His 1st destination was Hawaii, where he lived for about a year before coming to Chicago. When people find out that he lived in Hawaii, the typical question that people ask is, “Do you know how to surf and/or swim?” Unfortunately, he does not know how to do either. But, he does know how to speak Korean. Chris Kim joined Harvest, which was called Fellowship Community Church when he first joined, in 1996 with his wife, Shin, who at the time was pregnant with their first child, Amanda. Since then, they have had another child, Michael. Since coming to Chicago in 1977, Chris spent most of his time living near the northwestern suburbs. He graduated from Schaumburg High School, then got a Bachelor of Science (Industrial Engineering) degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received an MBA from the Olivet Nazarene University, located in Kankakee, IL. Chris enjoys playing soccer and golf. Soccer helps him to keep in shape and golf helps him to be humble.
Jonathan Young Lee
Jonathan Young Lee has been part of the Harvest family since its inception. He grew up attending Alliance Fellowship Church (parent church of Harvest) starting from 6th grade. Most people affectionately refer to Jonathan as “Young”. Jonathan works in the corporate world as a Marketing/Business Manager in the Telecommunications Industry. Jonathan is married to Samantha and has two beautiful daughters (Madelyne and Payton). He enjoys spending time with his family, working out, reading Theological books, and studying Theology, especially Reformed Theology. He also enjoys spending time with friends, whether it is simply hanging out, golfing, and most importantly eating. Jonathan graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (currently known as Truman State University in Kirksville , MO ) with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry. Jonathan’s short term and long term desire is to be used by God in any capacity, whether in full-time vocational ministry or in the corporate world.
Michael Cho
Michael Cho has attended Harvest since 2004. He is simply astonished to see his biosketch posted on this website. It is nothing short of miracle and indeed amazing grace of God. He holds dear to his heart the two verses found in Proverbs 3:5-6. Michael and his wife Karen have been married for 19 years and they are surrounded by three daughters- Rebecca, Lindsey and Ellie. While completing undergraduate degree in Washington, DC, he acquired the taste to appreciate politics and is quite fascinated by the US presidential history. One unforgettable Washington experience was to worship the Lord together with then-Vice President George Bush. Michael is currently a professor in bioengineering at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
