Our Story

Harvest got its start in 1995 as the English Ministry of Alliance Fellowship Church (AFC). The leadership realized that as first-generation immigrants they were not well-equipped to minister to English-speaking next-generation people. Harvest was the result of their vision. In 1997 Harvest became an independent church plant. God has expanded our vision and ministry to extend beyond the Korean-American context.

Our vision is to be a “church of next steps.” That means we are committed to helping people take the next steps in their spiritual journey toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether you are exploring the Christian faith for the first time or are a veteran follower of Christ, we believe everyone has a next step to take.

Our name reflects our desire to be:

(1) a church that is fully and sacrificially committed to letting our community and our world know about the good news of Jesus’ love - that’s the Harvest part; and

(2) a church that also enjoys a real sense of family among those who are part of our congregation – that’s the Community part.

God is still working at Harvest Community Church, and we welcome you to join us and become a part of our ongoing story.
