Administer Justice Roles

Hi everyone!

We are looking for volunteers as we are heading towards finalizing the plans to start an Administer Justice Ministry at Harvest! We were originally aiming to start this month, but have decided to start sometime early next year! There are no rules for how many you can volunteer for (you can do one or a few, it’s up to you!). There will also be a training session held through the attorney. Below are the 9 roles that we are in need of:

1. Justice Champion (Sarah McClarey)

2. Attorney (what we are looking for)

An attorney bringing clarity and a path to justice to clients in the midst of confusing legal circumstances

3. Client Advocate (one advocate for every 2 AJ’s)

An attorney bringing clarity and a path to justice to clients in the midst of confusing legal circumstances

4. Community Advocate

A natural connector spreading the word about the Gospel Justice Center by reaching out to service providers and businesses in the community

5. Prayer Champion

A prayer champion leading the Gospel Justice Center team and wider church community in praying with and for clients

6. Client Intake Specialist

Organized administrator passionate about providing logistical support for essential tasks for clients and the Gospel Justice Center team

7. Hospitality Specialist:

A welcoming presence creating a warm environment for clients through refreshments, child care, and prayer

8. Interpreter (fluency in a language would be helpful)

God’s bridge of understanding facilitating warm and accurate communication between the client and team members

9. Follow Up Advocate

An encourager empowering clients to overcome barriers and take the next steps in their journey to justice. Contacts the client two weeks after appointment and to fill a role to walk alongside them (not on a legal sense)

Please contact Sarah McClarey (outreach@harvest-community.org) if you have any questions. Thank you so much!
